About Me
I am a Toronto-based journalist with an ingrained passion for storytelling and a hearty curiosity about the forces that shape our world. Born and raised in this city, I have always been driven by a desire to explore the intersections of people, politics, and culture. I am especially committed to using my platform to speak up against injustice and give a voice to those often left out of the conversation.
My path to journalism has been anything but conventional. For years, I worked as a professional makeup artist in the high-pressure worlds of fashion, print production, and media. That career took me behind the scenes with a diverse spectrum of people—from Oscar winners to everyday citizens and even astronauts—giving me a unique, broad perspective on the human experience that I now bring to my reporting.
This professional background has shaped my discipline, my news judgment, and my ability to build rapport with anyone I interview. Whether I am writing feature stories for Zoomer Magazine or reporting on the ground for SAY News, I am focused on delivering work that is as polished as it is insightful.
Outside of the newsroom, I find my inspiration through travel and landscape photography. I love capturing the quiet stillness of the Ontario countryside and the rugged, timeless beauty of Sicily, my ancestral home.
